Frixos Larkos, Chair of the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Committee
Frixos is the managing director of Crowdbase, the first investment-based crowdfunding platform in Cyprus, with the aim to provide an alternative financing solution for innovative ventures. In the past, he worked in investment banking, insurance, wealth management and the technology sector. Frixos has a Master’s in Financial Analysis from London Business School and a bachelor’s in Economics and Finance.
Dimitris Alexandridis, Member of the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Committee
Dimitris is a software developer at Vivacity, a fast-growing technology startup that develops AI solutions to reduce congestion and promote active travel in road networks. Dimitris holds an engineering degree from the University of Cambridge.
Niki Issaia, Member of the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Committee
Niki currently resides in London and is the founder of Charles, a tech start-up in the re-commerce sphere. She is passionate about creating value from data and reducing waste in the fashion retail space. Niki’s past life draws from a 7+ years career in banking, most recently at Goldman Sachs on the Emerging Markets Equity Structuring desk and prior to that at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Corporate Banking division. Niki was educated in Economics at University College London (UCL), graduating in 2015. Niki grew up in Cyprus where she attended The English School.
Mariza Fotiou, Member of the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Committee
Mariza is Vice President of Digital Product Design in BP. Previously she held various managerial roles with HSBC Private Bank both in NY and London with latest position as Digital Chief Operating Officer. She is also the founder of CuriousIQ. an equal tech education provider for underprivileged people who also supports advancing employability in Greece. Mariza is a Mental Health champion in her professional community and a supporter of diversity and inclusion. She holds a Masters in Finance from Baruch College, NY.
George Papadatos, Member of the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Committee
Dr George Papadatos is currently the Global Head of Data Strategy at Syngenta Crop Protection R&D where he is driving digital transformation initiatives, including data foundations and digital literacy. George has more than 15 years of experience in research informatics and data sciences and has worked in world-class research institutes and Pharma R&D organisations, such as the European Bioinformatics Institute and GlaxoSmithKline. George has an MSc and PhD in Applied Data Science and has more than 60 peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations. He lives and works in London.
Omiros Trypatsas, Member of the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Committee
Omiros is a MSc computer science student at UCL. He holds a BSc in Mathematics at the University of Bristol. Omiros is currently an ambassador of Almero students and a member of the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Committee of the Hellenic Tech Network.
