About the Event

The AI & Democracy Forum took place in Athens, the city where democracy was born. More than two millennia ago, this was the place where the radical idea first emerged that citizens should have a voice in how they are governed.

At a time when artificial intelligence is reshaping institutions, public discourse, and power itself, the Forum convened in Athens to reflect on whether and how democratic values can endure and evolve in the age of intelligent systems.

Building on the AI & Democracy dialogue launched in London, the Athens Forum brought together leaders from technology, public policy, media, and civil society to explore how AI is transforming democratic governance, public trust, and civic participation, grounded in history, yet firmly focused on the future.
